She has served as full partner and hands-on manager for every development project undertaken with husband Amrit since 1990, when they tackled their first renovation project. Since then, Amy has built a decade-plus tradition of rehabilitation projects which have come in on time and on budget. As the front-woman for Checkmate Design, Amy has received numerous awards including St. Louis Women of the Year, The Women of Influence Award, and the St. Louis Business Journal’s Most Influential Business Leader Award and personally supervises design details for and manages the architects and contractors involved with projects ranging from $80,000 residential rehabs to $40 million restoration projects.

A Chicago area native and a graduate of Andrews University with a Master of Architecture, Becky serves as Project Manager for Checkmate Design. With a unique background in marketing and diverse public sector projects, Becky brings strong organizational skills and a collaborative approach to the practice. Now based in St. Louis, she enjoys exploring new places through travel, food, reading, and drawing.
